Storage space on my mac pro

Hello,

My Mac keeps informing me that I don’t have enough storage space. My iphone and mac are linked to one another. IOS files is takeng 61 GB of storage.

How can I delete the files from my mac, but keep them on my iphone?


MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 10.15

As @ Rudegar points out Deleting ALL IOS backups would be unwise though there is an alternative, use iCloud backups - read Here


That said, having 61.1GB of IOS Files on the computer seems very excessive. I am concluding from that number here are several iPhone System Images ( ips complete image files ) of previous and possibly outdated IOS Restore images that have been downloaded. Each ips image file usually are 5.4 GB in size. If this is correct, they can be copied to an external drive for safe keeping and can then be removes for the computer
