My iphone 11 taking screenshots on its own

Hi Apple Team,

Would like to seek your assistance, this is regarding my iphone 11 taking screenshots on its own, please see details below:

  1. Randomly takes screenshots and it saves on my gallery.
  2. I thought it was my phone case since it’s quite tight but I changed more than couple of times and still it screenshots on its own.
  3. I have the updated 14.2 software
  4. Increase volume and off buttons are used to take screenshot, I tried to hold my phone tightly near those buttons but it did not take screenshot so it really takes effort if you wish to take a screenshot.
  5. I already restarted my phone and still have the same issue.

Though no effect on the performance of the phone but I find it quite alarming that it may trigger future problems so would like to ask now.

Thank you so much!

Make sure you haven't enabled back tap to take screenshots:

Use Back Tap on your iPhone - Apple Support

Turn on Back Tap

  1. Check that you have the latest version of iOS on your iPhone 8 or later.
  2. Go to Settings > Accessibility > Touch, and tap Back Tap.
  3. Tap Double Tap or Triple Tap and choose an action.
  4. Double or triple tap on the back of your iPhone to trigger the action you set.
