Administrator Password?

Tried to download, but was asked for my administrator password. What is that? Nothing I tried gave me access. My MacBook is a 2019.

MacBook Pro 16″, macOS 10.15

In settings, go to the users and groups section and tap on your account. Then look for a drop down menu labeled permissions or admin. Then change it to admin. Do you have any other users on your computer, or does anyone else use your computer?

I can help. I would recommend using airplay. If it is an Apple TV than it will work, if it a 3rd party tv than what model is it?

How to set up airplay: https://www.apple.com/airplay/

You will need to allow airplay on your tv.

Hi, an administrator or admin is an account on your computer that has control. Meaning that without the admin Nama and password you will not be able to download. Try contacting the person who setup your Mac

Thank you. Might you know about smart tvs and iPhones, too? Bought a small smartie, so that we could watch Netflix. Works for us and we do not need to watch regular tv, so we are fine. But, I understand that I should be able to view my iPhone SE stuff on the screen. Went to connect devices on monitor, but seem unable to make the connection. Any ideas?

I set it up myself last year, but the software update refuses to accept the only password I use.

It's a 24" Lg TV. Is airplay free to me with my iPhone? Clearly, I'm not very techie, but am willing to learn.

Ok, airplay is always free, but I will need to check if your tv is compatible. Is it a smart tv, or did you connect something to it. (Apple TV, Roku, fire stick, etc...)

Yes, it is definitely a smart tv, without an antenna. Ordered that to arrive on Monday. Will look for airplay. Thank you for your time.
