If I uninstall iTunes on my desktop pc will it delete everything?

I have tried backing up my iPhone and iPod on my pc (windows 10)

but it says I can’t because it’s corrupted

if I uninstall iTunes on my desk to pc will it delete everything ?

Music, apps, everything really

I could then reinstall it and then back them both up (it is some time since I backed anything up)

I had problems with my iPhone, it froze up on me, I had to take it to the Apple shop to unfreeze it, they couldn’t do anything with it because the back up was corrupted so I had to set them both up as new iPhone and new iPod

Any suggestions/ideas would be appreciated

Uninstalling and reinstalling iTunes won't fix a corrupt backup set. See Locate backups of your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch - Apple Support in case what you actually need to do is remove your existing backups and reclaim the space. See also How to back up your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch - Apple Support and backup to both your computer and iCloud if possible to add some resilience should something go wrong again in future.

For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.

The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. When reinstalling right click on the downloaded setup file and use run as administrator. It may also help to temporarily disable any non-Microsoft anti-virus.

Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down the page in case one of them applies.

The further information area has direct links to the current and recent builds in case you have problems downloading, or want to revert to an older version if the current one won't work properly for you at the moment. Links to the most recent builds are now at the bottom of the page.

Your library and device backups should be unaffected by these steps but there are links to backup and recovery advice should it be needed.

I uninstalled iTunes, then cleared up any residual files,

Now I cant reinstall iTunes, my PC is old, Win 7

I have tried installing older versions of iTunes, but they try then just roll back, cant install

I have gone back as far as 2015, there are versions from 2014, 2016 up to 2020, but the 2020 has to be installed on a Win 0 pc (I hate Win 10, its the reason I havent updated to it)

If I uninstall iTunes on my desktop pc will it delete everything?
