The orange indicator has been on while I’m using the phone. Is the phone considered an app, or is there another app recording my phone calls?
Is the orange light ever not on while using the phone?
I don’t want any app using the microphone while I’m on a call or recording without my permission. This should be more clear in the mic settings.

I believe TikTok was recording my phone calls. I’ve deleted the app, but now I’m concerned any time the orange or green lights are on because I can’t tell if a second app is also using the mic at the same time. Is there a way to differentiate between the orange dot for just phone calls and another symbol for all other apps using the microphone?

Orange symbol merely indicates that mic is being used, there is no call recording app on an an iPhone unless you have downloaded one from the App store.
