Erasing computer OS X Base system

I am trying to erase my computer and restore settings, due to getting a new computer. I was able to erase the internal drive. It it won't allow me to erase the OS X Base system disk image. after I rename it, the erase option isn't an option at all..how do I erase this info. ?

MacBook Air 13″, macOS 10.15
