Hello: with this recommended connector, do I need to do anything else? Do I need to add driver or other software? Thank you

Apple recommends a $49 Thunderbolt 3 (USB-C) to Thunderbolt 2 Adapter to connect my old Thunderbolt 2 display with a 2020 MacBook Pro? Do I need anything else? A driver or other software? Thank you

<<Do I need anything else?>>

That adapter features a Thunderbolt-2 Female connector.

If your display has a captive ThunderBolt-2 cable, you have everything.

If your display has only a female ThunderBolt-2 connector, you also need a genuine thunderbolt-2 cable.
