When I shutdown my Mac it take a while then shutsdown waits a couple of minutes and then restarts with this error.
I have tried to find a solution but no success - Any help would be greatly appreciated as it is driving me crazy.
I have a 2014 iMac running macOS Bis Sur version 11.1 - 8GB ram.

Safe Boot, (holding Shift key down at startup), does the problem occur in Safe Mode? Could take 10 minutes.
Safe mode attempts to repair Disks & clears lots of caches & loads safe Drivers, & prevents loading of 3rd party extensions, so if Safe Mode works try again in regular boot.

Whew, they've changed pastebin & made it harder, but after pasting in, click Create new paste button, then Embed button, then copy the URL...

Workable but harder for me to work with...the Note tool on the bottom of this editor's toolbar, as shown in the image, to copy and paste the output from EtreCheck. In a Reply before you click post, look for this to add longer texts...

You are a Legend. Seems to have fixed the problem and the app you suggested rocks. I highly recommend more users install etrecheck it is an outstanding app for sorting out a lot of issues. Thankfully I didn't have many issues and all is now running smoothly.
