Recovered files in recycle bin

Hi.

There is folder called "recovered files" in the trash can on my mac. From what I can see, it only contains a screenshot.

Skærmbillede means screenshot.

Why does it appear in trash? Is it safe to delete?

Thanks in advance.

An application had it open when it crashed or didn't properly clean up. The contents of that folder are there because they may contain otherwise-lost work, and can be safely deleted.
