Upgrade: MacOS High Sierra to Mojave

I have a macOS High Sierra (max ver.: 10.13.6). Can I upgrade to macOS mojave? It says it requires an OS of 10.8 for a High Sierra; although, High Sierra cannot reach that OS version or am I reading the wrong information?

MacBook, macOS 10.13

If your MacBook is a 2012 or newer model, yes. Otherwise, no.

10.13 is newer than 10.8.
