Is it safe to switch from 60W MagSafe 2 to 87W USB Power adapter

Hello,

I have MacBook Pro (Retina, 13-inch, Early 2015) with 60W MagSafe 2 style connector.

I need to replace my adapter because it's very old. Is it safe if I will use 87W USB Power adapter with USB-C to MagSafe 2 instead of my old 60W MagSafe 2 style connector? I'm concern if it save for my Mac to use higher watt charger?

Regards,

Vadim

You can use a higher wattage charger but it won't charge any faster.
