2015 MacBook Pro warping real BAD!

The lower case has slowly been warping for 3 years or more. The front feet aren't even close to touching the desktop. Recently it has gone crazy and is warped so bad that the cover won't close tightly. There is a quarter of an inch gap! I never leave home with the MacBook. It still has the original battery which retains a full charge. I intentionally partially discharge the battery twice a month to extend its life expectancy.

MacBook Pro 15″, macOS 11.2

You should have stopped using the laptop as soon as you first noticed the battery was starting to swell. Have Apple or an Apple Authorized Service Provider examine the laptop and provide you with a repair estimate. In some regions it is possible to mail the laptop to Apple for the repair. Click on the "Get Support" link at the top right of this page to see the available options in your region.

Also see if your laptop qualifies for this Battery Recall program:

FYI, the Battery Recall is meant to address a potential fire safety hazard with some batteries and is not meant to address a swollen battery which is a completely different issue (Apple doesn't consider a swollen battery to be a safety issue). However, if your laptop qualifies for the Battery Recall, then you can get a free battery replacement even with the swollen battery.
