Warped case on MacBook Pro

The bottom of the case is warped such that it will not lie flat on my desk. It wobbles when I type. Is my battery swelling?

MacBook Pro 15″, macOS 11.1

Definitely sounds like it.

I would verify you have a adequate and viable backup, and prepare to stop using it, unplug it and shut it down. It can cause a lot of damage. Swelling, leaking, expanding, damaged Lithium ion batteries you do not want to deal with yourself
