Website for weather.com

after about 5 seconds the website weather.com crashes on my first generation iPad via safari - it displays the temperature for a brief moment, but doesn't allow me to scroll down to see the weather before taking itself to Top Stories, no longer permitting me to check the weather. This is not the app, which is no longer compatible with my old ipad, but going out to weather.com's website. This problem started in December 2020.

My thinking is something changed with the Website and is no longer accessible by your 11-year old iPad with a 9-year Safari Web browser.

There are no nore apps for that old an iPad and NO MORE third party iOS Web browsers to try with that iPad, any longer, either.

A lot happened with iOS ( now iPadOS ) in 11-years ans a lot has happened with the Internet and Websites/Web browsers in 9-11 years.

Last ditch try.

Try a hard reset of your iPad by holding down both the Home and sleep/wake buttons simultaneously until your iPad goes to black and restarts with Apple logo, then release the buttons.

It's 2021 now.

Maybe it’s time for a new or much, MUCH “newer”, used iPad model that is more modern and uses a much more modern iOS/iPadOS.

Sorry & Best of Luck to You!

Michel, thank you so much for trying to help! The hard reset didn't completely fix the situation, but now I can see a different view of the 10-day weather prediction without its vanishing, which is a good improvement. The only thing I have used this dinosaur for is a weather report in my bedroom to know how to dress for the day. It's hard to part with an old friend.
