How to show desktop

Rumor has it that Command–Mission Control = Show the desktop.

Not on my laptop

So, can anyone explain how I show the desktop?

Spread with Thumb and 3 fingers is the gesture on a trackpad you will need to expose desktop as its stating you have a 13" MacBook Pro I assume it has a Touch Bar you can go click the arrow on the Touch Bar and then click the mission control icon.
