Add a photo not working on iMovie

imovie is not letting me add a photo ? Anyone else had this issue ?

How are you trying to add the photo and what happens when you try? Will it not import at all or do you see a black clip.


You might try opening the photo in the Preview app on your Mac and, in Preview, do a Tools/Adjust Size and lower the long dimension of the photo to a value less than 4000. 2500 would be a good value. Then try to import the lower resolution photo into iMovie.


Also, what is the format of the photo that you are trying to import? If it is an incompatible format you might need to resave it in a different format, such as jpeg.
