Ethernet icon missing

I can't find in system tray the ethernet icon,only the wifi icon.Is there anyway to show also the ethernet icon when is connected? (MacBook Pro 15'', macOS Big Sur)

I'm not sure but in previous macOS versions there was ethernet icon in system tray

Try making some changes in preferences

Change network settings on Mac - Apple Support



if no insight or resolve


—On the fly you can rebuild the menu bar (your 'system tray') in the upper right from the Terminal.app copy & paste:

killall -KILL SystemUIServer


If no change

—try a safeboot to clear system cache files and reboot as normal to test
