Well thank you for your responses. After a little more digging around I found my old 80 GB iPod and it works! But I’m not sure if it is all that great. And bear with me because this is getting to my next query which still pertains to the iTunes library.
So the iPod works in my 2019 Corolla Car Play, but it’s kinda glitchy. I don’t know if the is the fault of the iPod because I cannot find wired headphones to try it out or if it is old vs new tech.
So this got me thinking that I should just start over fresh on a new computer, reload each cd one by one like I did 20ish years ago. So naturally I guess I would like to find an AirBook, MacBook, DesktopBook, iBook, whatever, just so it might be more seamless and possibly avoid any glitchyness. Is this the correct line of thinking? And if it is, is there a preferred device that might be ideal for only ever running iTunes, possibly with a CD drive (or external CD which I guessing is all that available any longer). Just looking for opinions and advice because clearly I’m not up to speed with current tech. I just want to continue to enjoy my library and not have to repurchase every album on the iTunes Store. And before anyone mentions streaming, I spend a lot of time where there is no service. Otherwise Pandora is my go-to. Apple Music- not for me. I tried and tried but we are worlds apart.
