Notifications get quiet when music is playing from phone speakers

Hello, I've been having this issue where the notification sounds get quieter when there's music playing through my iPhone speaker, even when it's locked, which is a problem because even if my notifications are on the highest volume, they'll deliver on the lowest volume setting when music is playing and I might not always hear them. They're not muted, just very quiet, same thing for other sounds such as the keyboard sound though this is not inconvenient.

iPhone 11, iOS 14
