I make a call to people, they answer, I can hear them but they can't hear me. This happens all the time. It's a new Iphone 12 mini

I am having this problem on my iPhone 7. I am trying to make arrangements for an emergency, but the people I am talking to can only hear me for about 1 minutes. Then they can't hear me anymore.
When I make a call from my Ipone12 mini I can hear the people but they can't hear me. This happens all the time. This phone is only about two months old
