After 11.5 update casting via Google browser to Chrome cast audio is now intermittent.

I have isolated the source of the problem but not the cause.

MacBook pro late 2013. Running BIG SUR.

My music was casting faultlessly using Google browser and my chrome cast audio connected to my home HI FI.

Now it is not.

Now sometimes i have loss of sound or interference. I have not the same issue casting from my IPHONE.

As a test I have cast the same BBC stations with both iPhone and MacBook pro and the issue only happens with my mac book pro after the 11.5 update?

What is the issue here.

Thanks for the help.

I did do a first aid on the hard drive first.

Then the PRAM, which seemed to get most of the clinches.

I played some music as usual using Google Browser and chrome cast audio connected to the HI FI. I noted that while using my computer breaks in the music occured so i reset the PRAM again. It seems to be stable at the moment.

I did not really want to take the back plate off the laptop and reset the SMC but i will if the problem returns. It may be that just reseting the PRAM when the music dies will be enough.

Thanks again
