I cannot connect to my apple pencil

I tries to follow the steps mentioned in the website to connect to my apple pencil. But I am still not able to connect it. It is showing “apple pencil” when attached, blinking but not showing percentage level or whether it is charging.

in Bluetooth option I can’t find Apple Pencil as well.
