No menu is showing up on my appletv app
I don't have the actual AppleTV device. I am streaming the AppleTV app on my smart TV. I can stream just fine but there is no menu. I would like to turn on the closed captioning.

Not all content may have closed captioning, but Apple TV+ content should have that.
Either the app or your device may have a ‘global’ setting for closed captioning for upcoming future videos.
Use subtitles and captioning in the Apple TV app - Apple Support
During playback, you may activate subtitles or closed captioning from the Info pane. Press the down button, then Subtitles, then select a language.
