iPhone screen does not go off when I make phone calls

Hi I have got any iPhone X and now when I make a call the screen does not go off so I end up putting the phone down on people or muting them it is doing my head in now and need to get it fixed

Perhaps the proximity sensor is covered by something (cover/screen protector) that obstructs / interferes with its activity, or it is broken.

Make an appointment and have your device inspected at an Apple Store or AASP (Apple Authorized Service Provider) among this list:--> Apple – Location Selector

After checking it out, they'll give you all the available options.
