I have a IMac (24-Inch) from Early 2008, running OS X El Capitan. Can I get a New Mac Mini and use my IMAC as a monitor?

Sorry, no. You cannot for the following reasons:


  1. 24-inch iMac computers were never supported with Target Display Mode.
  2. Only certain 2009-2014 iMac computers were ever supported by Target Display Mode.
  3. Target Display Mode is not supported with Apple Silicon.
  4. Target Display Mode is not supported with macOS Big Sur.
