Unable to Print. File Corrupt. HP Color Jet Pro MFP M477fnw

My HP Color Jet Pro MFP M477fnw will not print with out giving the Unable to Print. File Corrupt. Message. Ive tried wifi printing, Ethernet printing and USB connection same issue. I take the same file to a, pardon the profanity, Windows 10 Dell computer and it prints perfect. So I figure its a case of planned obsolesence (sp?)? Any body have a fix for this? I hate to get rid of this printer. I know we are suppose to buy new products every 5 years or so the industry thinks but there are other things I need to spend my hard earned dollars on. Side note I have a HP 1012 black and white laser printer that I have used for at least 15 years and works on Big Sur. Any ideas? Macmikeal (at) Mac (dot) com.

You wouldn't believe how many times I have done all of that! Same problem on three different Mac minis using Big Sur. That was why I thought planned obsolescence. I guess Microsoft missed that memo. I even downloaded the 5.1 HP printer Drivers for Mac OS still no go. I might have to find what Color Laser to replace this one with. That is the hard part you don't know until you buy but if you buy and it won't work you are stuck. I haven't tried to see if I have any issues in Ubuntu yet.

Load the latest firmware if not already loaded, and try the AirPrint path again.

https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software13/FW_CPE_Commercial/M477_M377/M477_M377_MFP_Series_FW_Update-20201022.dmg

Failing that, load the vendor drivers and try configuring the printer again:

https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software12/HP_Quick_Start/osx/Applications/HP_Easy_Start.app.zip

If that fails, remove the printer from the printer settings, and re-add it (first trying the AirPrint path, then vendor drivers), and try again.

If that fails, remove the printer again, reset the printing system, and re-install the printer (first try AirPrint, then try with the vendor drivers).
