Finder "Save As" has lost the ability to open the folder for you then you clicked on the target folder outside the app

Yesterday discovered that one small, but very useful feature has gone in Monterey.

Before Monterey then you wanted to save the file, instead of browsing around in the Save As dialog window, you could point to the folder outside the app in the Finder, and the Save As dialog opened your selected folder for you. It was a very time-saving feature that tried to make your life easier, and was one of those features what separated and made macOS from other OSes. Now the feature is either gone, or you have to turn it on manually. Unfortunately, I have no idea how this feature is called, or how to describe it better.

I've never known that you could simply point to a folder in Finder, that should switch from the app to finder. But, you can just drag a folder into the "save as" dialogue window to switch to that directory.
