Replacement AirPod starts flashing orange in the case

I ordered a replacement AirPod and everytime I put it in my case the case just starts flashing orange

Either it is charging, or still needs to be set up for your other devices. See if there is any help from Set up your replacement AirPods or charging case - Apple Support
