No it is not. Mac OS does not require or benefit by adding any third party antivirus, security, cleaning or any other types of third party maintenance apps. Mac OS is extremely secure and only needs to be kept up to date and restarted about 1x per week in order to remain so. Adding the above types of apps only serves to make Mac OS appear slow, unstable, buggy and offers no additional level of security or stability that Mac OS cannot do itself. In short, please leave Mac OS alone and simply enjoy your Mac!
