Unable to reset security questions !!

Hello i had an old Apple ID which has some purchases made in the past.

the account has security questions in the accounts country language (German)

when I answered them the questions were asked in English. So i don’t know if they have changed something.


secondly, i am trying to add two factor authentication it is not allowing me as I don’t remember the answers to the security question.


lastly the email for activating recovery email link is also not working.


can someone in apple world help. I am locked out of my own account.

"If you forgot the answers to your Apple ID security questions" click here --> https://support.apple.com/HT201485


If you see the message "not sufficient information" see if at this stage you can still sign up for Two Factor Authentication. Apple has been very strongly urging users to use Two Factor Authentication instead of security questions. "With two-factor authentication, you don't need to remember any security questions.

If you cannot resolve the issue by signing up for Two Factor Authentication, "Contact Apple for help with Apple ID account security"; click here --> https://support.apple.com/HT204169


Access to account recovery requires you be using two factor authentication.

Tried all three options !! With no recovery email activated or two factor authentication I am unable to reset security questions.

The lady who looked at my case in support says this is the way apple protects users.


I am wondering if I can reset my password, why I can't reset security questions.

So I am ok to have selective dementia as per this situation created by Apple.


Please help or suggest alternative methods.
