My ipad is dead and needs to be repaired. However in order to send it to Apple for repair, Apple requires me to turn off "find my ipad" How do I turn it off if the ipad is dead and cannot access that feature?

Use a web browser to visit http://www.icloud.com.

Choose the "Find iPhone" tab after signing in. Find your device there, click on it and choose "Erase iPad".
