Some fair ideas about extending AppleCare+ coverage are in articles online.

Like this example:

• Extend your AppleCare+ coverage - Apple Support

https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT210580

Various regions could have buying options & different coverage details, too.

• Find information about your warranty or Applecare plan - Apple Support

https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT202741

Some articles may be short-dated; subject to change, within newer time frame.

Who's the Seller?:

Apple? If so, you have 60 days(from the date of receiving it) to do so. You'd click on your item here, and see if you can get coverage: https://checkcoverage.apple.com/

Not Apple?: If not purchased through Apple, then ask the seller where to get it. Perhaps they have coverage of their own?
