how to modify keynote theme
I would like to make some minor modifications to some of my themes.
How do I do this without adding another theme to the already large list?

You want to make minor changes, to themes, one way is to add a new layout to the theme you are using
- go to: View > Edit Slide Layout
- right click on a layout in the left side bar and select Duplicate
- double click the title bar on the new slide layout to select the title, then give it a new name
- make the changes to the layout as you require
- save the presentation
- when you want to use that layout again, open the presentation, add a new slide then select the new layout from the layout list in the Inspector
Repeat the above for each new layout in the presentation.
