Does the projector support HDMI or Displayport?
One of these two adapters might work:
https://www.smklink.com/products/usb-c-multi-port-hub
https://www.siig.com/catalogsearch/result/?q=JU-DK0F11-S1
Keep in mind any adapter to HDMI that does not have a pass through for USB-C Power may not work well for certain monitors.

Which MacBook model are we talking about?
http://www.everymac.com helps identify the model.
I need to know the year, and is it a Pro, Air, or no moniker (Pro, Air) after the name MacBook.
MacBook Pro (13-inch, 2017, two Thunderbolts, 3 ports)
Thanks. It's helpful
