My MacBook Pro order was canceled by Apple

16in MBP order placed. Waited a few weeks, all of a sudden:

“Your recent online order with Apple has been canceled because it exceeds the quantity limits per customer.”

What gives? Last Apple item I ordered was a year ago. And this order was Qty 1…

Customer service has no idea, says just order again. Which I probably have no choice, but am woe to charge thousands of $ and wait weeks again for the same outcome if no one knows why this happened and the same underlying problem is there.

if something in Apples system thinks I’m a “high volume” orderer errantly, I can’t imagine placing another order is going to solve this.

If Apple can not meet the expect delivery date they will cancel the order. I would ignore the "quantity limits per customer."

Supply chain has slowed deliver dates and not all orders are going through. You can try again.

Thanks, good to know.

Frustrating though, I guess I’d just have to hope that one time I place an order their delivery estimate is accurate? Why not delay delivery instead of cancel totally? Now I’m really not getting it on time…

If it suits your needs— you can buy off the shelf at any Apple store if in stock.

Other options include:

Best Buy

third party retailers..

Apple ships ~57,000 Mac's a day...this may have slowed a bit under the current conditions.

On-line orders come from China directly

I can not help you with global supply chain issues.
