With iPhone SE on a call I can’t use key pad with out the phone hanging up

Does anyone have an answer to, when on a call I can’t use key pad with out the phone hanging up.

If the call has connected, then the dial pad should be available when the phone is away from your ear.

If this isn’t working, update your iOS (to 15.3.1, currently), and restart your iPhone, and try again.

if not… Somebody is probably going to have to see this happening; the specific sequence involved. Which might mean a trip into the Apple Store.
