I did not format the SSD Drive before loading macOS Catalina on to it.
it became painfully obvious as my excitement plummeted as everything was as bad or worse.
you know I feel brilliant forgetting to format the SSD Drive.
now how do I back out and start over?
thanks,
Bright Guy
All is good what solution you gave me. Thank you very much.
i follow your solution. I got to the very last comment that said, of course the SSD must be preformatted.
most of us are not as smart as you. So I got to your last step …,
pulled my hair out. Because I already installed macOS onto the SSD.
please help me back track to undo this.
thanks
Boot into the Recovery Partition by holding down Command + R on startup. Then install Mac OS on the SSD which must be in some type of enclosure. Of course the SSD must be preformatted.
Anybody there, thanks anyways. I’ll check back soon.
im moving ahead.
Nope, when you are in the Recovery Partition, open Disk Utility and format the SSD first.
