External storage device compatible with OS X10.7.5

I’m trying to transfer all my photos on my MacBook which is running OS X10.7.5, to an external storage device. So far any USB I’ve looked at only has compatibility with 10.9 and above. Any ideas what I can use? I’m not very technical so I just want something I can plug in and transfer photos onto.

thanks

None of that should matter. You do not need to run the software for the drive, which might be for 10.9 and above. Just use disk utilities to setup the drive with a GUID partition and Mac OS extended journaled. Make sure the cable is usb 2.0 or 3.0 and not type c or thunderbolt. Or you'll need an adapter. You could even use a flash drive formatted for Mac. They go as high a 1TB. There too slow for an operating system, but work for storage.
