"Shared with you" photos not showing in Photos Library

If I go into the Photos app and select "For You" I can scroll down and see "Shared with you" and see the photos I expect to see. I've also confirmed that the feature is enabled in system preferences. But when I go to the Library view they are not there. I also confirmed there with the filters that it's set to show "Yours & Shared".

This feature used to work for me but I accidentally turned off the "Shared with you" feature in Messages. After re-enabling I can't see to get the photos back in the Library view. Is there a way to backfill this?

I had already restarted my iPhone and it was on the latest version of iOS. Looking at it now it is showing the images I would expect to see. So this can probably be closed as a non-issue. I'm guessing it just takes time to index all the images in such a way? When I filtered to just "Shared with you" yesterday it showed what I expected but not in the combined view. But seems to be working fine now

Thanks for reaching out, s_whip.

It sounds like you're no longer seeing shared photos in the Messages app after it was disabled and then enabled again.

What happens if new photos are shared with you? Do they show up correctly, or are they also excluded from library view?

Additionally, it may be worth trying to Restart your iPhone and making sure that you Update iOS on iPhone to the current version.

Keep us posted.
