Hello I have the same issue with my MacBook Pro 2019 it started out of nowhere and when I move the display I see the horizontal line on the top of the display and the half bottom gets frozen. If I close the display a bit more the images come back and screen works but still flickering. It is definitely a hardware issue or defect since I have not done any damage to my MacBook Pro and Apple should definitely repair it.

Hi,
It might be an another flexgate issue.
You'd better contact Apple Support and ask for repair your screen for free of charge, though I doubt they accept your request.
