I've erased my HD for a fress reinstall but it will not accept my login info in order to reinstall OSX

Then type your password followed by the six-digit verification code directly into the password field.

For example, if your password was "ExampleApplePassword", and your code was 012-345, enter "ExampleApplePassword012345".

It's asking for your Apple ID password, correct? If so, do you have two-factor authentication set-up for your Apple ID? Do you have access to another Mac?
