iPhone how to open Contacts app by back tap?

Is it possible to open Contacts app by back tap?

For elderly persons, it is more difficult to do following:

  1. search for Contacts app
  2. see Contacts app which has no name other than the icon
  3. swipe screen to find app
  4. use Siri in environment prohibiting sound such as library

Appreciate any suggestion !

Yes, it's possible...

  • Open Apple's Shortcuts app.
  • Create a custom shortcut consisting of just one action: Open App.
  • Choose Contacts as the app it should open.
  • Name the shortcut Open Contacts.

  • ...Then: Settings app > Accessibility > Touch > Back Tap > Double Tap > Scroll down to the SHORTCUTS section > Choose Open Contacts (or whatever you've named your custom shortcut.)
