I don’t believe my phone has been exposed to liquid. Why can’t I charge it?

I can’t charge my phone because of liquid detected.

This message can appear if the port on the iPhone is clogged with dust or lint or the port itself has a problem.


Very carefully clean the area around the port and inside the port itself.


Power off the phone, wait a minute and restart


If you are still having difficulty, time to head to the Apple Store or authorized Apple Service shop.
