Need to temporarily clear Safari History to test for a website problem

Having a problem accessing certain items on a vendor website. They want me to empty my cache (which I did) and also clear my Safari History. I can't do that since I do research and depend on my history to look back on websites that I have accessed. Is there a way to copy the Safari History file and put it aside (or I guess just rename it). Then clear Safari History so I can run the test. Then do I copy it back to where it was and rename it back so I will have my Safari History back?

Will clearing my Safari History also clear my Cookies?

I just need to make sure I don't loose my Safari History.

I tried that and it worked. THANKS !! The link to the website is in my email, so I guess I will have to click on the link and see if I have the access problem. If I do, I will copy the url in the Safari session and then start a Private Window and paste the url in it.

This solved the problem, but can you tell me is this a vendor problem or something in Safari. As info, I did try using Chrome and it failed also. Is there a next step to try to get this resolved?
