Adding family members to family sharing
Why must I first delete my child’s account in order to add my husband to my family? Is there no other way around this?

"Remember, you can only join one family at a time, and you can only switch to a different family group once per year."
There are several scenarios where what you say might be possible but without details it is hard to say if any of them apply. For example, if you already have 6 people total in the group.
