backup is not compatible with IOS 16.0.2

I backed up my iphone 12 pro to my Macbook, the back up version is 16.0.1, after that I updated my iphone 12 pro to the newest IOS version 16.0.2, when I try to restore the backup I get a message indicating that the backup version is’t compatible with the IOS.

the problem is, this is a business phone, I have a very important contacts, messages, and pictures I need to retrieve from that backup.

thanks

Hey OmarAlazzawi,

We understand that you see an error message when trying to restore your iPhone after updating. We'd like to gather more information to better assist you:

  • Do you have a beta profile installed on your iPhone? You can check by going to Settings > General > VPN & Device Management.

  • When you plug your updated iPhone into your MacBook, do you see a message about update software?

  • Which version of macOS is currently installed on your MacBook?

  • After you updated, did you restore the iPhone to factory settings?

  • Did you backup your iPhone to iCloud or directly to the Mac?
