Edit device names in “find my” (not deleting them)

Change the name of your iPhone   

If so, the renamed device may need to be restarted to initiate the change. If more help is needed, you may want to contact Apple Support for more help.

Thank you for posting in Apple Support Communities! The name should automatically update in the Find My app. You can troubleshoot the app itself by closing it out completely and relaunch it.

To close the app:

1. From the Home Screen, swipe up from the bottom pausing in the middle.
2. Swipe left or right to locate the Find my app preview
3. Swipe up on the preview to close out the app
