How do I retrieve my Pages document?

Pages document. Writing my memoirs and I did a stupid thing. I was trying to replace an updated page in the document. I stupidly gave it the same name as my document, when I clicked replace, it replaced the entire document with the one page, even though I had the page highlighted. How do I retrieve my document. Fortunately I did not lose it all, but several days of work which I could never recall.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, Thanks so much.

There is a reason we have been recommending the use of Apple's built-in Time Machine solution for several years as it may at times, be the only means to recover an earlier version of a [saved] Pages document from a different timeframe. Revert To can sometimes work and other times not.

I did try your suggestion, but when I scrolled to the end of the found document to make sure all the pages were there, it disappeared. Now I can't get it back. Now when I go there its takes me back all the way to Nov 5th. Is there a way to go back to all the previous versions. I know it's still there, but how to find it
