I just got a new mac and I'm not sure if it is a hardware or settings issue but when I press shift 2, I get an exclamation instead of the at sign. has anyone else experienced this? This type of thing happens for other keys too, like shift question mark gives me this Ç
Go to system preferences > keyboard > input sources and make sure there is only one item on the list, and that the name of the item is US or ABC.
