power button on macbook pro too sensitive

As I'm typing, my computer will log out suddenly. I can't imagine that my finger or fingernail has made it all the way over to the power button to do this so maybe I'm accidentally hitting some key combination to make this happen. Can anyone help me in disabling this? Thank you.

MacBook Pro 16″, macOS 13.0

Hi macnpchz,

Thanks for posting in Apple Support Communities.

It sounds like your Mac is restarting on it's own. Is the computer powering off completely? If you have a case on your computer that could be touching the Power butt, it would be best to remove it.

If you notice this behavior when you're using a specific app, check for updates for the app. Also, check that your Mac is running the latest software in Apple menu Apple menu () > About This Mac > Overview.

Find these and continue with addition steps in If your Mac restarted because of a problem.

Regards.
